Have you ever wanted to change an unpleasant situation? Thankfully, you can! It’s called, Revision. Just as you would revise a paper, you can edit or change a situation in the same way. This time, you do it all in imagination. It’s re-remembering the event in a preferred way or if you see something you do not like, you can revise it to your liking. Using revision, you can change any outcome for the better. Woo, that is a relief! All it takes is 5 easy steps.
5 Easy steps to Revise
- Go ahead and remember the original scene in imagination.
- In imagination, change the scene to play out how you want it to play.
- Loop this new scene in imagination until it feels real. You can pull evidence from your new scene to help make it feel more true for you. For instance, you can say to yourself, “as soon as I said that, I grabbed my cup and walked off.” You grabbing your cup and walking off implies that the conversation was finished. You can choose any evidence from your new scene to imply that this is indeed the truth.
- Every time you think of the scene, think of this whole new act you just watched. This is your replacement scene which is your new TRUE scene. This NEW scene is how it truly went down or how it really is! Wink!
- Do not give any more energy to the old scene. It has been deleted and now the new scene is present and true.
When to use Revision
1) You can use it whenever you feel comfortable to revise a past situation.
2) Wait till bedtime to look back on your present day to revise anything unwanted. This is a great quiet time without distraction to do revision.
3) Revise immediately while the unpleasant situation is taking place. If you are revising immediately, you can revise what you are hearing into something more pleasant right away, or you can change the situation by revising now. You can also revise a fall, a burn, or something not working. For example, to change a fall you just replay a new scene to imply that the fall did not happen. For a burn, you do the same, replay a new scene implying you did not get burned. Lastly, if a machine is not working for you, you can immediately revise the machine working. All of these revisions work.
6 Success Stories of My Own Using Revision
- While, I was washing my garden tub, I stepped one foot in the tub to reach the other side. My foot slipped causing me to do a split and I felt my inner leg muscle pull. I immediately stepped out of the tub and revised the situation. I told myself, “I did not slip. I was turning the water faucet on with both feet outside the tub.” I looped this new scene a couple of times in my mind. Then, I went back to washing the tub. My leg did not hurt anymore.
- Second, my niece fell while chasing the dog. She was complaining of her knee. In that instance, I told her that we were going to revise that she did not fall. She agreed and I said to her, “you didn’t fall, you were just standing playing with the dog.” I said it to her a couple of times and within minutes she said that her knee did not hurt her anymore.
- While cooking, I burned my finger. I immediately replayed a new scene as I was running cold water on my finger. Later it stopped hurting and the next day it was as if I never burned my finger.
- My sister was a passenger in a motor vehicle accident. The accident caused her to be on life support in the hospital. I revised the whole scene of the accident. I played a new scene of the other vehicle stopping at the red light. This revision caused her to heal at a rapid rate and the doctor could not believe her speedy recovery.
- Another miracle, a friend of mine was in a coma. I revised and again had wonderful results of speedy recovery.
- Revision just keeps on helping. A coworker had 3rd degree burns on his arms and legs. He had to get skin grafts for healing. I revised his situation and he was back to work in 3 weeks. Imagine, skin grafts and all, back to work in 3 weeks! Wow! The doctor here also could not believe how fast he healed. Miracle after miracle!
More Success Stories from Others
In Neville Goddard’s books, there are so many more success stories using revision .
Read these examples below:
“While my wife was playing tennis she received a severe break to her ankle. We both revised the incident, and although she had to stop playing tennis for a while, the ankle healed rapidly with only the aid of an ace bandage, much to the amazement of the doctor.”
-Neville Goddard writings
You Can Change Peoples Reactions
“It seems that it’s real, that I actually did experience it and I have found from experience that these revised days, if really lived, will change my tomorrows. When I meet people tomorrow that today disappointed me, they will not tomorrow, for in me I have changed the very nature of that being, and having changed him, he bears witness tomorrow of the change that took place within me.”
-Neville Goddard, The Pruning Shears of Revision, 1954
You Can Revise a Text Message
Neville Goddard speaks of revising a letter.
“For instance, suppose today’s mail brought disappointing news. Revise the letter. Mentally rewrite it and make it conform to the news you wish you had received. Then, in imagination, read the revised letter over and over again.”
-Neville Goddard, Chapter 4 of Awakened Imagination & the Search
Revise Your Bills
“I had forgotten to pay my cell bill and was listening to music at the gym when the internet connection stopped and the music stopped. I revised right away to, “Oh yeah, I am paid ahead for 6 months on my cell service.” Within seconds, the music resumed and my balance owed was $0!”
